My name is Beverley Chambers and I have been a practising counsellor in Bromley for over 20 years. As a registered member of BACP, I provide counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. I work with individuals, couples and families.

I've studied various counselling methods including couples counselling, brief solution focused therapy, life coaching, motivational interviewing, family therapy, alcohol addiction counselling etc, which makes me an integrative counsellor, whilst using the mentioned approaches I implement the person-centred philosophy of Carl Rogers. He teaches that:

"For a person to grow, they need an environment that provides them with genuineness, acceptance (being seen with unconditional positive regard) and empathy (being listened to and understood)."

You will experience this in our sessions becoming more aware and understanding of your issues, you will develop a strong self-worth and learn skills to address the issues that have affected you.

As a therapist I understand how relationships such as couples, work related, families, domestic abuse, domestic violence, bullying, sexual abuse will have an impacted on your environment and emotions. Majority of counselling is due to these relationships and if we can take time to address these issues this would enrich your lives instead of remaining stagnate and as a relationship counsellor in Bromley I can help you address these issues and move forward.

How we can work together

We are all unique and work in different ways, so I use various counselling skills determined by the individual, simply because "one size does not fit all". Still I maintain the philosophy of Carl Rogers' teachings, as mentioned above.
